We specialize in canoe trips on the River Wye, between Hereford to Redbrook, south of Monmouth, in our opinion one of the most picturesque river sections in the UK.
The River Wye Canoe Hire Company is a family based professional canoe hire company based at Ross Sports Centre, Wilton Poad, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR9 5JA. We have had many years experience in the canoe hire business on the River Wye, renowned as being the canoeing capital of Europe.

Our goal is to offer a personal friendly service, taking away the stresses of daily life and making sure all our clients have a very enjoyable and relaxed experience with us in the hope that you will return.
All of our trips can be tailored to fit your needs. From the person who may never have canoed before to the experienced canoeist in need of a fresh challenge.
Our regular trips run from a half day paddle up to a 4 or 5 day trip where we typically launch you way up the River Wye.
We can arrange all your needs from camping, B&Bs, hotels, youth hostels etc and advise you of public stop off points for picnics and barbecues. All these details can be found within this site and on our links gallery.
Depending on the journey you choose, from our base we will transport you up river by mini bus to your chosen launch point. Upon arrival we will give you a briefing regarding your trip, from river safety, canoeing tips, paddling techniques and what to look out for en-route to make your trip a truly remarkable experience.
Our fleet of open Canadian canoes are 'Old Town 174 Canoes'. They are sturdy and versatile, capable of carrying 2 to 4 people as well as all the kit that you may require for your trip. We also hire single person touring kayaks.
Our Prices include the hire of the canoe, buoyancy aids, paddles and dry barrels. The only extra cost is for the transportation of your canoe up river or for collection down river from base.
